These galleries are of pulps, etc that are in my library.I have used some cover art from the Internet as I got a little lazy scanning this amount of stuff. There are over 150 pulps here and they are all at higher resolution than my older galleries.Check these out you will love Pulp Art.It took me years to be able to find and buy all these magazines.I still have many more to scan. And I must make us some galleries of my rare vintage science fiction paperbacks as I own around 800 – 1000 paperbacks.

Noah Scalin – SKULLS BOOK

Image

Book Description

Publication Date: October 7, 2008
On June 4th, 2007, artist Noah Scalin came up with an ingenious idea: he cut a skull out of orange paper and posted it online with the note, “I’m making a skull image every day for a year.” His uniquely witty works became a wild success: five months later, nearly 250,000 people have visited the site, many sending in skull photos of their own and turning Scalin’s blog into one of the world’s top sites.
Why skulls? Noah answers, “why not?” He’s always found them fascinating—and these days, they’re found on everything from t-shirts to bumper stickers. But nothing equals Noah’s incredibly beautiful, odd, and often humorous pieces: they’re made from an astounding variety of materials, from toothpaste to melted candle wax, from tea leaves to plastic straws. One is even carved into a watermelon! (Yes, it was eaten.)
Each of the 150 skulls shown is accompanied by a brief description and fun anecdotal stories. As a bonus, there are four skull projects to make. Irresistibly merging pop, Internet, and craft culture, this fantastic collection provides an
inspiring example of how to find creative potential in every aspect of daily life.

Army of Two – Skull Mask Dead Edition

Even if you don’t know the reference for this mask, as in the game Army of Two, you will probably still find it pretty damn wicked. For some reason it reminds me of Batman when he was purchasing material for his headgear.

ABOUT SPUN ARTS AND APPAREL

CLICK THE SPUN LOGO ABOVE TO GO TO THE SPUN ARTS AND APPAREL ONLINE STORE AND WEBSITE

SPUN Arts & Apparel is an urban style clothing and art store that was started in Portland Maine by its owner Zach Broda. The idea to start the store came to fruition in the beginning of 2010 when Zach and his former business partner decided they wanted to start a business that had ties to underground music, arts, and fashion cultures. SPUN has managed to build its customer base and make it through its first year with a lot of help from family and friends.
Our mission is to provide the freshest clothing, accessories, and art to a variety of music based subcultures as well as throw a variety of events: Music festivals, electronic dance music parties, urban art competitions and turntablist competitions. We also hope to start providing podcasts and live mixes by regional DJ’s. Besides our website and storefront we will be vending at many festivals during the season as well as other shows and events.
SPUN Arts & Apparel also works in association with RareForm Events, which is run by Shawn Schwotzer and Bruno Moura, as well as, a variety of other production companies: TrueLTD Unltd.,761 ProductionsFunky Communications, Tight Crew, and a handful of others listed on our links page. SPUN Arts & Apparel will also be home to SPUN Clothing Company which was started by Hassan Hood and Zach Broda, with help from a small group of loyal friends including Danny Armstrong of Albany New York who also has a clothing line called Never Fade Away (you can find links to Danny’s work on our links page).
As a company we hope to grow and evolve as well as help the subcultures we are a part of to grow as well. We hope to do this with your support for our company, our affiliates, and all the artists we work with. Please help spread the word about SPUN Arts & Apparel and our partners so we can help the underground grow and stay alive.

MOTIONGRAFF GRAFFITI ANIMATION COMPANY

It started as an art project. It has snowballed into a show.

MOTIONGRAFF™ seeks to unveil the creative process through transmedia storytelling.

Rather than use video recordings, they have opted to shoot only still images, using a number of cameras and angles,

in order to present a stop-motion animation-style collaboration between producers of audio and visual content.

Their goal is to showcase talent and techniques, while conveying a message.
