1.) NAME?
I go by the name of Ripshop, Dorchester MC.
2.) WHERE YOU FROM?
I’m from Boston.
3.) WHERE YOU REPPIN CURRENTLY?
More specifically…I rep Dorchester.
4.) WHO’S AN ALLY/CREW YOU REP OR ARE YOU A SOLO ARTIST?
I rep The Mikst Nutz Fam. Big Oh!, Johnny Hatch (He’s still in here!), Kon, and Budaroc/Grandscale. And I rep with Reel Drama as well.
5.) WHATS YOUR FIRST MEMORIES OF MUSIC?
My first memories of music is my pops playing Parliament and Bootsy stuff like that in the crib.
6.) WHEN DID YOU FIRST HEAR HIP-HOP MUSIC?
I first heard rap music played in Derby Park across from the projects where I lived at the time. Back in like 81 or 82 hearing cats rhyme from my window.
7.) WHERE YOU AT RIGHT NOW? WHAT CURRENT AND RELEASED PROJECTS COULD YOU SHARE WITH US?
Me and Drama got “The Authenticity”, which we released in 2010 on Itunes, we still got “Pioneer” which we put out last year, for free download. And right now we’re working on “Regime Change”.
8.) ANY SHOWS OR EVENTS YOU’LD LIKE TO SHOUT OUT?
I should have a show coming early next month…but i had dumb shows this summer…we’ll see.
9.) RAMEN OR MAC AND CHEESE?
Mac and Cheese of course!!
10.) ANY BOOKS YOU READING RIGHT NOW?
Right now I’m reading “Mind Control and World Control” by Jim Keith, ill book. I’m looking for “The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations”. I need that book.
11.) IF YOU COULD GO ANYWHERE RIGHT NOW WITH 5000$ where would it be and what would you be doing?
If I had 5G’s I’d invest that in me and Dramas music, I wouldnt go anywhere. That would go back into the music.
12.) WHAT IS YOUR TOP 5 FAVORITE CHARITABLE CAUSES?
I honestly don’t have a favorite charity, cause they all bullshit.
13.) WHAT’S IMPORTANT TO YOU RIGHT NOW? ANYTHING GOES..
What’s important to me is that Humanity wakes up before it’s too late.

My top ten would be Dilla (r.i.p.), Pharoah Monch, Black Thought, Common, Redman, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Nas, Jay Electronica, and Slum Village.
17.) WHAT KIND OF PREFORMER ARE YOU?
I wouldn’t be able to say what kind of performer I am but, I like to get the crowd into it. I need the crowds energy…I have to know they’re into it or I’ll stop the music and let ’em know what it is. The crowd has to be a part of it.
18.) DO YOU LIKE ART?
I love art. I draw all the time. But I’m not into it like I’m going to art galleries, but my dude Percy is gross with it though. Shout out to Percy.
19.) IF SO ANY VISUAL ARTISTS OR PAINTERS OR GRAFFITI ARTISTS OR GRAPHIC DESIGNERS ETC ETC YOUR INTO RIGHT NOW?
Damn I shouted Percy out too early haha. My dude Brian Life is nasty with it. He did early Akrobatik and Mr Lif’s lp’s. Kool Keith’s joint.

21.) WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO GET DAILY NEWS FROM ABOUT CURRENT EVENTS IN OUR COUNTRY AND ABROAD?
I get my news from alternative sources, no mainstream shit. I might go to Alex Jones Infowars, but I’m real iffy about that, cause I don’t know if Alex is to be trusted who knows though?
22.) where do you see the future of (genre) heading?
I see Hip Hop Culture destroyed at the current rate it’s going. Redundant, repetitive chants paraded as hooks, with no skills in the rhymes, and robotic mechanical tracks with no melody. And gimmics, with the emasculation of men with the tight jeans, pink hoodies and man purses. It’s going to a bad place man.
23.) if you could work with any artist, who would it be?
I would want to raise J Dilla from the dead and work with him in the studio, with Monch. That would be dope.
24.) what country’s do you like best for your genre besides your own?
I can’t say I like a country for any genre but i love the fact that Japan respects HipHop Culture.
25.) what’s your favorite sport?
I’m not into sports.
